Greenhouse Series I
The greenhouse series took root during my senior year of college (2013) while I was studying the origins of the museum. Greenhouses, where one of the first cultivated spaces, along side the cabinet of curiosities, of encyclopedic collections of plants and objects. Later, these spaces would go on to encompass history, art, and cultural artifacts in the modern day museum.
I was simultaneously interested in the idea of entropy, where order naturally moves to chaos. This series portrays greenhouses that I found in San Antonio where the plants were consuming the greenhouse structure they resided within. This signifies order moving to chaos, where a man made object is consumed by natural life.
